Anne-Marie and I have been through a tough few months. We have both lost our mothers within a month. My mom died on January 15th and was burried on the 20th. Anne-marie's mom died on February 16th and was buried today, the 20th. We are looking forward to some less stressful days ahead.
In the midst of all this, we booked a B&B in Niagra Falls, Canada for Easter weekend! A trip we have been talking about for several years. Sometimes it takes sad events to get us to do the things we want to do.
I thank God for Anne-Marie and how much she has changed my life. She is a wonderful companion and my best friend. Mutual love and support is something everyone should have and share with their spouse!
The most amazing thing about our relationship is that it is a threesome!! God is at the very center of us. We get up early every morning (well almost every morning) at 5:00 and pray for our church and our neighborhood, and we come together at 9:30 every night (if we do not fall asleep earlier) to pray for our families.
Two incredible journeys traveled together. As we began dating we also began looking for that religious experience that would be meaningful and draw us closer to God. We tried lots of churches and met some nice people. We heard all sorts of things, some of them not having a lot to do with God. We finally settled on a church that seemed to be focused on God and His Word.
How God spoke to us! We began going to Bible study and began learning how to really pray to God, not just repeat something that we learned as children. We learned that the God of the Old Testament was not a demanding, unloving god, but a very loving God, who used discipline to bring His choosen children back to Him. We entered into a relationship with God and accepted our salvation through the Blood of Jesus Christ! As our knowledge of and love for God grew, so did our love for each other. We have been married for almost 5 1/2 years now, and I have never been happier. Don't think that we never have disagreements, because we do, but we always work things out before they become issues for us. We are able to do that because God has changed us. He is amazing!
